- DAY 1 BUCHAREST – CURTEA DE ARGES -POENARI – SIBIU
BUCHAREST – Curtea de arges -Poenari – Sibiu
Set out in the morning towards from Bucharest to Transylvania region. On your way will stop at Curtea de Arges Monastery where you will visit an enchanting old christian orthodox monastery. Our guide will get you through the history of this faith center for Romania. After this you will head for Poenari Fortress. This fortress is also known as Dracula’s Fortress as the Wallachian Leader used this fortress to hide from the Ottoman invasion several times. Climb up the steps and then have a great view over the valley. Please note that there are about 1500 steps to be climber from the parking lot in order to reach the fortress.
After the fortress, if the weather allows it make your way towards Sibiu city through Transfagarasan Road. Reach the top of the most beautiful and scenic route of Romania. Reach in the afternoon in Sibiu where you will find this German style city to be a magical place as it’s situated in the central part of Transylvania and still maintains the style of a german city. Please note that between the period of June-October Transfgarasan Road is open.
If the Transfagarasan Road is closed the alternative route of Olt Valler River Road will be used.

- DAY 2 SIBIU – ALBA-IULIA – CORVIN CASTLE – BREB VILLAGE
Sibiu – Alba-Iulia – Corvin castle – Breb Village
Enjoy a warm breakfast in the morning and then set out for Alba Iulia city. This small town is a well preservered citadel. Tour the inside of the Old Town section and discover the history of the ancient and medieval times.
After Alba Iulia head for Corvin Castle. You will find this medieval castle to be the most emblematic one for this region. See the inside of this castle with our guide and discover how the development of the area depended on the castle position.
Reach in the afternoon the region of Maramures in Breb Village. Have a traditional Wooden House for the accommodation and you will enjoy traditional meals prepared by the locals.
Enjoy a traditional dinner.

- DAY 3 MARAMURES EXCURSION
After breakfast set out in the morning for your Maramures excursion. You will first go at the local whirpool to see how the locals where washing their clothes and rugs. This technique is still being used nowadays.
Head for the Wood Carventer, one of the few craftsmen of the area that will offer an idea of how wood carventing is done in Maramures.
Reach Dragomiresti Museum where you will see a traditional wooden house that was donated by one of the local women for the purpose of maintaning the local culture.
Do not forget to also pass at Ieud, one of the most important Wooden Churches of Maramures.
End your day at the Merry Cemetery where your guide will read the funny stories of the graves.
Enjoy a traditional dinner.
Overnight in Breb Village.
- DAY 4 BREB – BIERTAN – SIGHISOARA
Breb – Biertan – sighisoara
Set out in the morning from your accommodation from Maramures and head back to Transylvania. On your way you will stop at Biertan fortified church. This 15th century old church has a funny and interesting story that our guide will share. After visiting Biertan head for Sighisoara city where you will spend your afternoon.
Discover a fairytale town that still holds that medieval air of the place. Tour the Old Town and see the Clock Tower, Scholars Stair and Church on the Hill.
Overnight in Sighisoara.
- DAY 5 SIGHISOARA – VISCRI
sighisoara – Viscri
This is more of a leisure day as you are going to travel from Sighisoara to Viscri. Viscri is a UNESCO site that is well known for the houses that are owned by Prince Charles of England. You will be accommodated in a traditional saxon house.
In the village you are going to have the experience of riding the horse cart as the locals where doing in the old days and visit the brick maker and the blacksmith which both will offer a demonstration of their skills.
In the evening enjoy time at leisure and a homemade dinner.

- DAY 6 VISCRI – PREJMER – RASNOV – BRASOV
VISCRI – PREJMER – RASNOV – BRASOV
Enjoy your warm breakfast in the morning and then set out for Prejmer fortified church. You will be seeing an old fortified church built by the knights and you will find the stories about it as our guide will fill you in the inside of the church.
Later on head for Rasnov Citadel to discover a well preserved citadel upon a hill. Reach the top of the hill to see the Transylvanian plain.
Spend your evening in Brasov as your guide will do a walking tour in order to present the major landmarks of the city such as the Black Church or the old gates of the city.

- DAY 7 BRASOV – BRAN – PELES – BUCHAREST
Brasov – Bran – Peles – Bucharest
In the morning you will head for Bran castle aka Dracula’s castle in order to discover this medieval castle. Tour the inside and at the end if you wish you can enjoy free time in the market in front.
Reach the Peles Palace in Sinaia where you are going to visit the inside of one of the best palaces that Romania can offer. This 19th century palace was built by the first king of Romania.
In the afternoon reach Bucharest.
End of service.
