  1. DAY 1 BUCHAREST – Curtea de arges– Sibiu- Sibiel

     BUCHAREST – Curtea de arges– Sibiu- Sibiel

    Set out in the morning towards from Bucharest to Transylvania region. On your way will stop at Curtea de Arges Monastery where you will visit an enchanting old christian orthodox monastery. Our guide will get you through the history of this faith center for Romania.

    If the weather allows it make your way towards Sibiu city through Transfagarasan Road. Reach the top of the most beautiful and scenic route of Romania.  Reach in the afternoon in Sibiu where you will find this German style city to be a magical place as it’s situated in the central part of Transylvania and still maintains the style of a german city. Tour the old town area with our guide.

    Included Transylvanian Dinner in Sibiel.

    Please note that between the period of June-October Transfagarasan Road is open.

    If the Transfagarasan Road is closed the alternative route of OltValler River Road will be used.

  2. DAY 2 SIBIU – CORVIN CASTLE – ALBA IULIA – BREB VILLAGE

    Sibiu – Corvin castle – Alba Iulia – Breb Village

    Enjoy a warm breakfast in the morning and then set out for Alba Iulia city. This small town is a well preservered citadel. Tour the inside of the Old Town section and discover the history of the ancient and medieval times.

    After Alba Iulia head for Corvin Castle. You will find this medieval castle to be the most emblematic one for this region. See the inside of this castle with our guide and discover how the development of the area depended on the castle position.

    Reach in the afternoon the region of Maramures in Breb Village. Have a traditional Wooden House for the accommodation and you will enjoy traditional meals prepared by the locals.

  3. DAY 3 MARAMURES EXCURSION

    Maramures Excursion

    After breakfast set out in the morning for your Maramures excursion. You will first go at the local whirpool to see how the locals where washing their clothes and rugs. This technique is still being used nowadays.

    Head for the Wood Carventer, one of the few craftsmen of the area that will offer an idea of how wood carventing is done in Maramures.

    Reach Dragomiresti Museum where you will see a traditional wooden house that was donated by one of the local women for the purpose of maintaning the local culture.

    Do not forget to also pass at Ieud, one of the most important Wooden Churches of Maramures.

    End your day at the Merry Cemetery where your guide will read the funny stories of the graves.

    Enjoy a traditional dinner.

  4. DAY 4 BREB – TIHUTA PASS - VORONET MONASTERY – GURA HUMORULUI

    Breb – Tihuta pass – Voronet Monastery – Gura Humorului

     

     

    Enjoy your warm breakfast and then depart for Bucovina region. On your way will reach Tihuta Pass which offers a great view over Bucovina region.

    Reach in Gura Humorului and first see the Voronet Monastery. This is one of the most famous monasteries of the area as it was built by the famous ruler of Moldova region known as Stephan the Great. During his period he has manage to build over 300 monasteries most of them situated in the region of Bucovina.

  5. DAY 5 GURA HUMORULUI – SUCEVITA MONASTERY – MOLDOVITA MONASTERY – HUMOR MONASTERY - BLACK POTTERY - GURA HUMORULUI

    Gura humorului – Sucevita Monastery – Moldovita Monastery – Humor Monastery – Black pottery – Gura Humorului

    Start fresh in the morning after breakfast and head for Moldovita Monastery. This UNESCO Heritage monastery offers a view for those which are interested in history and religion. Join our guide to offer explanations about the paintings situated on the outside wall of the monastery.

    Next stop will be at Sucevita Monastery where you will have the chance of exploring another vibrating old painted monastery.

    After this you head for the Black Pottery of Marginea to find out all about this old craft technique which is still being used nowadays. You will have the chance to see a real demonstration from one of the local craftsmen

    End up your day at the Humor Monastery.

  6. DAY 6 GURA HUMORULUI – BICAZ GORGE – RED LAKE – SIGHISOARA

    Gura humorului – bicaz gorge – red lake – sighisoara

    Start fresh in the morning after breakfast and head for your next destination Sighisoara which situated in the central part of Transylvania. On the way you will pass through Bicaz Gorge and reach the Red Lake where you can have lunch ( own expense).

    In the afternoon you will reach Sighisoara where you will explore this fairytale town. Our guide will let you through the history of this place as you are going to explore the Clock Tower a former entrance of the city, Dracula’s house as Sighisoara is the birthplace of Vlad Dracula, the Scholar’s Stairs and the Church on the Hill.

  7. DAY 7 SIGHISOARA – PREJMER – RASNOV- BRASOV

    sighisoara – Prejmer – rasnov- Brasov

    Start your morning with a fresh breakfast and head out for Prejmer Fortified church. This is one of the fortified churches of Transylvania situated next to Brasov city and it was built by the knights in order to withold the invasion of the Ottomans.

    Head after to Rasnov Citadel to explore another gem of Transylvania. Rasnov is a citadel built in 1335 and placed upon a hill with a great view over the Transylvanian plain.

    End your day with a walking tour of Brasov which will offer an insight into the old gates of the city and the Black Church.

  8. DAY 8 BRASOV – BRAN - PELES - BUCHAREST

    Brasov – bran – peles – bucharest

    In the morning you will head for Bran castle aka Dracula’s castle in order to discover this medieval castle. Tour the inside and at the end if you wish you can enjoy free time in the market in front.

    Reach the Peles Palace in Sinaia where you are going to visit the inside of one of the best palaces that Romania can offer. This 19th century palace was built by the first king of Romania.

     

    In the afternoon reach Bucharest.
